Spot UV Business Cards
A Spot UV finish is a cost effective upgrade to a standard business card. It enables you to create an eye catching contrast that helps your business card design stand out in the crowd.
Print Pricing Table:
Our Spot UV cards are printed on either a 350gsm or a 420gsm smooth white card. The entire card is matte laminated on both sides, then a gloss laminate is applied to selected areas of your card. Gloss can be applied to key elements of your card like your logo or can be used to create a pattern on blank areas. The contrast between gloss and matte lamination makes a card really stand out.
Prices includes full colour CMYK printing on both sides of your card as well as GST and delivery directly to your location.

Artwork Specifications
If you'd like to provide your own print ready artwork, it must meet the following specifications to qualify as print ready:

Card size: 90mm x 54mm or 90x55mm

Bleed: 2mm bleed added to each edge (total card size becomes 94 x 58mm for the cutting stage as the knife can move up to 2mm)

Colour settings: CMYK (Not RGB or Pantone. Many RGB and Pantone colours can not be replicated in CMYK print so there will be differences in appearance)

Artwork resolution: 300dpi or more to avoid pixelation

Design elements kept within 3mm of the edge of your artwork
(this allows for 0-2mm movement during cutting) -
Minimum text size for all CAPS 5.8pt, Minimum text size for standard text 7.5pt

Convert fonts in final artwork to outlines to avoid substitutes on different computers

If Spot gloss is to be applied directly to any printed elements like your name or logo, please ensure you duplicate the final printed art, to ensure the gloss is placed precisely. Delete any elements you do not want to appear in gloss, change the colour of any elements you'd like to appear in gloss, 100k black. Basically all white on the spot gloss layer will appear matte, all black will appear gloss.

Save artwork as multiple PDF files. One file for the printed CMYK layer, a second file for the Spot gloss layer. Template available on request.
File types accepted
PDF, EPS or packaged Adobe Illustrator or photoshop files are preferable (Ai or PSD).
High resolution JPEG and TIFF may be accepted.
Working with existing artwork that requires modification
Send through an email with your existing artwork for us to review. In most cases, we can modify PDF or Ai files which will save on design fees.
File types like PNG, TIFF & JPEG can not be modified and we'll need to start fresh.
